So far, this makes it 3-for-3 this year: three outstanding shows out of three. This was a very tense episode filled with lots of gunfire and dramatic action scenes coupled with a heartfelt emotional plea (the subplot) for benefits for widows.
Billy Gill, a member of "Charlie Team," is killed in an ambush at the tri-border of Paraguay- Brazil-Argentina. We don't see that, but we see Jonas and a small Unit crew in the area, involved in a mission to knock out a dangerous rebel. When he hears of the nearby situation with Gill and and his ranger-partner who is still alive, Blane postpones his mission for a brief time to go save that nearby solider who is under siege. That's exactly what it is, too, as an expert sniper has the man "Beau Dauber" pinned and is holding hostages.
The tense situation involves a number of factors that put everyone's life in danger, and then gets worse when the rebel forces move into town.
Meanwhile, to give us a few breaks from that very tense scene in South America, the company - mainly the women - are trying to help out with a situation with Gill's finance with benefits for her and the two kids she's been taking care of for 4-5 years. Greedy grandparents, who have never seen the kids, want to take them for all the financial benefits. This episode also emphasizes the need for the wives to have insurance benefits in case their husbands are killed on the job.
Overall, this was an outstanding episode and another reason why this is such a terrific TV show.
