This episode aims to make another connection with what Clark Kent is all about, but fails to deliver in this episode about helping illegal Mexican immigrants.
Clark comes upon a boy named Javier, who escaped from farmer Jed McNally near the Kent household. He learns from Javier that McNally treats the illegal immigrants who work for him terribly. Clark realizes that he himself is the world's biggest illegal immigrant. Upon this realization, he helps Javier escape the farm, expose McNally, and reunite with his mother.
This episode is one of the worst of the season thus far. It makes an interesting point in reference to Superman, but the point is hard to digest since not many Americans can truly say they support illegal immigrants.
