- Rick Nelson: [Ricky finds David looking at himself in the mirror] What're you doin', David?
- Dave Nelson: Oh, hello, little man. Just lookin' at my beard.
- Rick Nelson: Lookin' at, or lookin' for?
- Dave Nelson: Whaddaya mean, I have a pretty good-sized growth here.
- Rick Nelson: You got a pretty good-sized imagination, too.
- Dave Nelson: It just so happens I was thinkin' about shavin' again today.
- Rick Nelson: Shavin' again? You mean you've already shaved once today?
- Dave Nelson: Well, not exactly today.
- Rick Nelson: Then when, exactly?
- Dave Nelson: Well, to be exact, a week ago last Tuesday.
- Haberdasher: Say, David might like one of these sport sweaters. They're always popular.
- Harriet Nelson: Oh, that's nice. Though, that might appeal more to Ricky, our younger son.
- Haberdasher: How old is he?
- Harriet Nelson: Thirteen. Though according to Ricky, he's pushing fourteen.
- Haberdasher: [he chuckles] It's funny how kids always want to seem older.
- Harriet Nelson: You think David'll like this sweater, then?
- Haberdasher: Oh, I think so. It's a little gay for College, but it's just right for High School. Besides, if he doesn't like it, I'll be glad to make a refund.
- Harriet Nelson: Oh, that won't be necessary. If it's too 'young' for David, he can give it to his father. I'm sure he'll like it.
