Stark, Simple Beauty

These short little bumpers on Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) usually contain only the saint with a stark white background speaking, but they are the utmost of beautiful acting. The direction and the dramatic portrayal of saints, from all walks of life and all periods of time in history, achieves the aim for which it is titled--"The Saints Speak." They bring to life the subject and the context of whatever particular topic the saint is speaking about. Like a person disclosing a secret they never stop catching me off guard and draw me in to the message that they share about the faith that Christ has brought them. Definitely awe-inspiring. Check out the one with St. Athanasius.
