Episode cast overview:
Josh Cooper
Marine Col. Frederick Cooper
Abraham Moussalah

While marine colonel Frederick Cooper tells his son Josh he's leaving the US on another 18 months tour at the Army-Navy golf club, he hits a fatal bomb. The only trace is an anonymous CIA tip, which McGee hacks trough Home Security. That leads to a warehouse, where another bomb awaits NCIS. The tip came from friendly Muslim shopkeeper Mamoun Sharif. Tony turns surrogate-dad to talk Josh out of giving up Princeton to join the military for revenge. Gibbs seems to enjoy collaborating with Army Lt. Col. Hollis Mann. Written by KGF Vissers

McGee has his second bout of poison ivy, the first occurred in _"Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" (2005) {Caught on Tape (#2.15)}_. See more »

On the Georgetown promenade Col. Mann makes a comment about Gibbs being inept at negotiation as proven by his four marriages. At this stage she is not aware of Gibbs' marriage to Shannon, she is only aware of his three divorces. This is confirmed as a scripting error in the episode _"Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" (2007) {The Ex-File (#5.3)}_ when Col. Mann discovers, to her shock, that Gibbs was married to Shannon from Ducky. See more »

Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: [as Ziva is disarming a bomb] I can see down your shirt right now.
Officer Ziva David: I don't think your new girlfriend would like that.
Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: What are you talking about? I don- I don't know what you're talking about.
Officer Ziva David: I'm talking about you and the fact that you no longer stare at every woman when they pass you by.
Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Well I'm looking down your shirt right now.
Officer Ziva David: See anything good?
Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Yeah, real good. But I'm not entirely sure it's worth dying...
[Ziva cuts a wire]
Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: [tense pause before finishing] over.
Officer Ziva David: "Not worth dying over."

User Reviews

NCIS teams with Army CID to combat a local home-grown terrorist cell.
9 November 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Kept my interest throughout, but left many many unanswered questions. Yes this is typical for NCIS, but I had to watch the show twice to see if I missed some key plot twist (couldn't find anything new). One of the usual draws to NCIS for me is that you can miss an episode or two and still get sucked in and feel like you've been entertained. The continuing story line is purposely faint in order to focus the watcher on the current show, not a lot of back-story and repetitive dialog which is usually just right for me. However this episode seemed to lack any coherent plot other than the obvious. Even the sparks foretold between Gibbs and the female CID colonel mislead to the end. If I liked mindless poorly thought-out stories I'd watch (yuccchh!) reality TV.

It lost points with me for being overly vague, but retained 7 out of 10 because even the drivel was exciting. BTW, its time for Ziva to stop being such a pain to work with. She's only likable about 10% of the time.
