Lisa ruins Bart's career (with the help of Marge)
opalpika132810 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Like the episode "E My Sports" and somewhat in "Smart and Smarter", Lisa does something to ruin something that another Simpsons family member has due to being jealous. Bart takes up drumming and hangs out with jazz musicians that are interested in him and not Lisa, which makes her upset and jealous. Marge gives her an idea to adopt a puppy and she picks a cute one over a sickly one, and gets haunted by that choice, which then makes her make her own animal shelter in the house, it also caused Bart to get bitten by a tiger which also broke his arm, resulting in him unable to play drums anymore. Chief Wiggum told Marge and Lisa that if they don't get rid of those animals by midnight animal control will take them all to be put to sleep. Marge guilt trips Bart into giving the money to fix Bart's arm to making a animal shelter in Lisa's name by telling him, "Your sister's upset, she worked hard to save these animals. Do something nice for your sister." It was both Lisa and Marge's fault for ruining a career that Bart was good in. Episodes that have Lisa sabotaging another member of the Simpsons family's talent that they are good at aren't really good, also goes for ones that have other members of the Simpsons family doing the same, like how Bart attempted to ruin Lisa's chance on making friends and deliberately being a jerk when she attempted a babysitting career.

Retread Territory Once More

Warning: Spoilers
Bart becomes a jazz sensation when this has always been LIsa's dream.

Lisa ends up adopting a lot of animals.

The animal joke actually was rather amusing, but it is a joke that has never been played out extensively as Homer or Bart's stupidity have been done, which is a shame.

There could be an entire episode of how LIsa can't save all the animals but the show has never done it.

It's really getting very difficult to even focus on episodes of this show anymore, they are so repetitive and predictable.

The Simpsons is essentially doing what Scooby Doo or the Flintstones did, but while those two shows would leave the air and be retooled in a later incantation, The Simpsons has just made one very long run.

It seems unlikely that there will be a rediscovery of this show by future generations, because #1, the jokes will have to be explained when they are from movies and TV shows or dealing with current events, and #2, 'suggestive' material will be deleted left and right.
