Teenage boy Gareth Wilding has pinched his grandfather's army gun, and stolen a pair of trainers, at large he's armed and very angry.
A good episode, it's more dramatic than first appears to be, it starts well, and has a really fine, dramatic ending. It feels a little different, it's ages til we get to see the alleged villain of the piece.
Simon Hall gives one of the most creepy and sinister performances that I can think of on the show, he's almost unnerving, no problems at all imagining that he really would have run amok if given the chance to. A shame, I've not found a trace of him.
A good episode for Polly, one that shows how brave she was, and not afraid to mix it up.
Features two of my favourite comedy actresses of all, Maggie Ollerenshaw and Vicki Pepperdine, the pair are both very good, for the limited time each appears that is. Look out for Downton star Lesley Nicol too.
Good episode, 7/10.
