Ojii-san no yamagoya (#1.2)
16 August 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

And now we get to know more when Heidi spends her first day with her grandfather. We learn more about his house as well as what he does there. Again the atmosphere is so greatly transformed to us. Like when Heidi goes up to where her new "bedroom" will be and loves the smell of the hay. It is really well shown to the child watching (as well as adults who can enjoy it).

And besides that we get to know more about grandpa and can be assured now that he is a good man who takes care of Heidi. Helping her with her bed and giving her a tall chair. And it gives a child a great message, that maybe people in the village just were afraid of him because he is different.

Joseph is a great animal character. To show us more of his personality the cartoon creators use great sound effect when he comes around. And we get to know more about goats and that even their milk is great.
