Too Many Changes
21 July 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Truth of the matter is this. They made a few changes with this episode from the manga. Normally, I wouldn't gripe about changes, however, the addition of the one character, rather contradicts with certain canon from the manga.

By adding the new character in the episode, they end up making the battle between the Grand Fisher and Ichigo, seem to be less significant. Also, Rukia's decision to let Ichigo fight on his own, becomes less poignant, as in the episode, she doesn't remember on her own.

However, the one thing that is in tact, is the discussion between Ichigo and his father. This discussion is one of the areas of big development, and I am glad it wasn't dropped.
