Signature Entertainment re-release three of their Tesco-exclusive creature features in a special three pack which is now available at all good retailers. We’ve previously reviewed two of the three so I thought I’d repost those together here just in case you’re wondering whether this new collection is worth picking up (Hint: If you love cheesy monster movies and crazy killer-shark flicks it most definitely is!). So without further ado, here’s reviews of Snow Beast and Swamp Shark:

Snow Beast, shot in 2011, and not to be confused with the 1977 TV movie Snowbeast which starred Bo Svenson and Yvette Mimieux, and is set in the same locale (a snowy hillside) and featuring almost exactly the same plot, stars Smallville‘s John Schneider as wildlife researcher Jim who, along with his team head up to the mountains every year to study the Canadian Lynx. Only this year things are a little different – for one Jim has to take his rebelling 16 year-old daughter, Emmy (Chuchran), with him and two, all the lynx are missing. Scream of the Banshee the 200th Syfy Saturday Original Movie

We told you all the way back in the beginning of February that Steven C. Miller's After Dark Original, Scream of the Banshee,e would be making its world premiere on Syfy, who co-produced, on Saturday, March 26th, at 9/8 Central with a replay four hours later. But that's not the only thing cool about this debut!

Trailer for Syfy's Werewolf Hunting Flick Red Starring Felicia Day

Considering there is a Hollywood action blockbuster titled Red starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich opening in theaters in October, I would not be at all surprised if Syfy's upcoming werewolf flick Red, starring red hot Felicia Day, undergoes a title change between the time this trailer has been posted and whenever "coming soon" turns out to be.

Red puts a new spin on a classic fairy tale with Felicia Day ("Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog", "The Guild") starring as a modern descendant of 'Little Red Riding Hood' who brings her fiancé home to meet the family for him to discover that his bride-to-be's ancestral business is hunting werewolves. When he himself gets bitten by a werewolf, "Red" is forced to try and save the wolfman she loves from her very own family.
