It's Christmas time and Monk gets a call to go to the station. When he arrives he is told that his father whom he hasn't seen in 39 years has been arrested. Monk learns that the man is not the man he was told he was; that he is a trucker and that he asked Monk to the station to help him get out of jail. It seems he has a lot of deliveries to make. The gang convinces Monk to go with him and while on the road Monk lets out some of the pent up feelings he has. But also Monk wonders why he is taking such an unusual route like he's going back and forth when he could be going straight to his destinations but his father's boss insists that he follow his route.
