John's ex wife has rung him to help their son Toby get accepted at a prestigious catholic school. It means they still have to pretend to be married.
The catholic school still disapproves of divorced parents.
Meanwhile at the 1-2-1 Club. Ricky Fortune (Kevin Lloyd) is the new member. An ex pop star who had a big hot back in 1969. It got to number 1 in Iceland.
However no one recognises Ricky. Kirk insults him for being a nobody. It leads John to pretend that he purchased his records back in the day.
Later Mrs Arnott walks in and instantly recognises Ricky.
The first episode of the second series introduces Kevin Lloyd. He seems like a good addition as the has been pop star.
Although the interview with John and Wendy at the catholic school was the weak part.
