This installment of "American Experience" is about the huge flood of 1927, when the flood was so bad the Mississippi River swelled to 50 miles across at some places! It told the story with a lot of vintage film footage of the disaster as well as photos and interviews. Also, as you'd expect from "American Experience" the show talks about the inequities--how black refugees were treated poorly compared to the white ones. Considering this happened in the deep South and it was 1927, this is certainly not surprising.
So is it any good? Of course. Plus this tells a story that is pretty much forgotten today.
