Joe Manganiello Joins Alec Baldwin, Salma Hayek’s Comedy ‘Drunk Parents’

Joe Manganiello, Jim Gaffigan, Bridget Moynahan and Ben Platt have joined Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek in the comedy “Drunk Parents,” which began shooting Wednesday in New York City.

Fred Wolf is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Peter Gaulke. Producers are Robert Ogden Barnum and Aaron L. Gilbert.

The film is a co-production from Bron Studios and Fortitude International, in association with CW Media Finance. Jason Cloth, Andy Pollack, David Friendly and Fortitude’s Nadine de Barros are executive producers.

Baldwin and Hayek play a couple who gets intoxicated the night after dropping their daughter off at college, leading to a bad decision, a kidnapping and a serious case of mistaken identity.

Fortitude International is handling foreign rights to the film and will be selling “Drunk Parents” at Berlin. CAA and UTA Independent Film Group are co-representing North American rights.

Manganiello is starring in the movies “Tumbledown” and “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday. »
