Episode 237 is one that mixes and mingles together various characters into an entertaining whole. Jason is full of bluster as usual, but finds his mettle tested when he encounters those howling dogs in the woods. Mystery continues surrounding Maggie's disappearance, while poor old Willie is a punchbag once again.

While there's still some mystery surrounding Maggie's disappearance, the focus is on the suspicion that Willie was involved in it. Dana Elcar makes a return appearance as the sheriff, but it's mainly Jason threatening Willie which leads to a further beat down for Willie. Knowing what he's up against makes him get more sympathy, especially knowing that he is innocent. John Karlen is doing a bang up job, originally playing the violent scoundrel, and now the victim of violence from two sources and unable to stop it. A rather uneventful episode although the conclusion is very eerie.
