This monster had spawned an enormous literature and filmography even before his execution in January 1989. Most notably, it was Bundy who gave us the phrase serial killer, not that he was the first, the most prolific, or even the most depraved. A lot is known about Bundy, including his last ever interview in which he spoke at length to an anti-pornography campaigner who believed dirty books, pictures and films drove people to kill. Ted did not disappoint, perhaps hoping his legacy would be augmented by or even replaced with a certain victim status.
This documentary hears from the man he duped, from a number of other people who set the record straight, including one who was happy working in the porn industry, and people who had considerable contact with Bundy. They all debunked his claim, and one points out that rather than hard core porn, Ted was fascinated by damsels in distress from detective comics - one man's porn is another man's yawn. We also hear from a few of his groupies; depravity comes in many forms.
Fortunately, the attempt to cash in on Bundy's victims to bring about a new reign of censorship failed. Most people can distinguish reality from fantasy, and most understand the concept of free will. So did Ted, and that will give him something to think about as he burns in Hell until the end of time.
