Darn Good for a First Go...
9 October 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Okay, so as the Co-Producer of this film, and the writer of the novella that it was based on - as well as a production assistant and extra on the set, I am a little biased - but regardless of that, THE MONSTER'S MIND is an amazingly creative independent film by a stunningly talented director/screenwriter (Brett Hatten) and an amazing, talented cast who has brilliantly breathed life into my characters and set the story on a different, yet interesting course. While I didn't write the screenplay, I was very involved with it from start-to-finish, and as the original author of this story, I could not be happier with the outcome. This is not a horror film, not a slasher movie, and not a cheap attempt at copying something else - it is a statement of our perceptions of abuse and consequential guilt. If you get a chance to see our film at a film festival, be sure to check it out.
