Marvel's Phase 3 is off to a great start with both Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange impressing fans in 2016. Not only were both movies received well by fans and critics, but they both did very well at the box office, which gives fans a lot of confidence as we move forward with the next wave of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Those movies are all leading up to one massive event that has been teased since the very first Avengers movie back in 2012, and that is Avengers: Infinity War. There is some good news for those who want to see Thanos finally get some real screen time, because Avengers: Infinity War and the Untitled Avengers sequel are set to start filming this week.
The news comes courtesy of Collider's editor-in-chief Steve Weintraub. He is currently in attendance at the Sundance Film Festival and several members of the McU are there as well, »

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin has become a fan favourite after appearing in Netflix’s Daredevil. But it seems the crime lord is unlikely to make an appearance in any future Marvel movies.
Speaking to Digital Spy while promoting his latest project Emerald City, the actor was asked about Kingpin’s future as it pertained to the McU. The Full Metal Jacket actor had the following to say.
“I would love to switch over to the movies, but I think it’s pretty much been said it’s not going to happen. Or at least not for a very, very long time. I think Kevin Feige explained that, and that’s what makes the most sense, he said the film universe is too jam-packed. It’s hard enough already, and if they keep bringing big characters in that they have to service in the writing, it’s not gonna work. »

Ever since Marvel announced that they’d be producing a series of Netflix TV shows that would be set in the same universe as their big screen adventures, fans have wondered when we’d see some kind of crossover. Many assumed that Avengers: Infinity War would be the movie that’d unite Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with the street-level vigilantes seen on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, but alas, that wasn’t to be – and it’s actually looking more and more unlikely that it’s going to happen in the foreseeable future.
Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk, in particular, is a character that fans would love to see go up against the likes of Spider-Man and Captain America in the McU. Unfortunately, though, it just doesn’t seem that something like that will ever come to fruition. Actor Vincent D’Onofrio recently confirmed that we’d be seeing »

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one that started off with the greatest of ambitions: to create a living breathing world where superheroes could cross over into each others’ respective franchises. For the longest time, it seemed as though this world would be restricted to the big screen. However, with Coulson’s death in the first Avengers, and the subsequent creation of the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., things opened up pretty quickly.
Then Marvel shifted their focus to Netflix, creating a series of shows that take place at more of a street level. Set after the events of the first Avengers, these series would also be set in the same universe. However, as time has gone on, it’s become more and more clear that there is very little chance the TV world and the film world will cross over in any meaningful way. Sure, the Netflix shows and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. »

It’s no easy feat seeing several characters from their own respective series cross over in a rewarding and meaningful way. Director Joss Whedon may have made the entire thing look easy when he released The Avengers back in 2012, but between the conflicting personalities, seemingly-contradictory superpowers, and clashes in movie styles, there was a lot that could have gone wrong there.
This year, Marvel Television is set to accomplish the same mammoth task when they cross over four of their street-level superheroes in The Defenders. The Defenders will serve as a continuation of the story of our New York-based supers Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron First — all of whom will have received at least one season of television by the time The Defenders hits the streaming service. As expected, this is a plan that’s set to have just as many difficulties as The Avengers did, as revealed by showrunner Marco Ramirez, »

Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park (whose previous credits include Thor, The Avengers and Ant-Man) has taken to Twitter to reveal his early illustration of the Sorcerer Supreme for Doctor Strange. The exact date of the drawing is unknown, but star Benedict Cumberbatch most likely wasn’t attached yet, as the figure in the image the doesn’t bear any resemblance to the actor. Check out an alternate costume design for the superhero below…
The tweet the picture was attached to read: “Here’s an early #DoctorStrange concept design illustration I did for the film #conceptart #costume #design #marvelstudios #marvel.”
The concept art comes about a week after a sketch of Ryan Gosling as the character was revealed, reminding us all that not all actors wear the costume as well as Cumberbatch.

The world is pretty high on Marvel right now. Not to say that is a strange thing at this point, but Phase 3 is off to a really great start thanks to Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. There are still quite a few movies to come, but as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 gear up for production, fans can't help but get excited for the prospect of what's on the way. It is impossible to know if the movies will be good, but at the very least, Marvel Studios is willing to put up a ton of money to help make sure they are.
According to a report by The Telegraph, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, which will be shooting back-to-back, are going to have a budget of nearly $500 million. The very intensive shoot is expected to last about six-months and will be filming in various locations around Scotland »
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving through Phase 3 at a brisk pace so far, and most would probably say the results have been pretty great. Still, even though there are a ton of movies to look forward to before Phase 3 comes to a close, anticipation for Avengers: Infinity War is already building in a big way. The movie is scheduled to start filming soon and it looks like we may be seeing some unexpected faces returning to the McU. Namely, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross.
A recent report from The Daily Record claims that Avengers: Infinity War will be shooting next month in the Scottish cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. The site noted that there will be "big screen superstars" on hand for the shoot, which includes the usual suspects such as Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson. But the report did have an interesting bit in that Liv Tyler, »

Who says superheros can’t go to the spa?
Jeremy Renner treated his three-year-old daughter, Ava, and a few of her friends to an epic spa day on Friday. The proud dad took to social media to share a few candid moments of the fun-filled day.

Coming to a close this week is Ultimate Spider-Man, which will air its final episode tomorrow, January 7th. Marvel is pulling the plug on the show to instead focus on a new effort. We don’t know too much about it just yet, but the company is planning a new animated series for Disney Xd, and as the teaser above confirms, it’ll arrive in the summer.
At only 10 seconds long, not much else is revealed in this awfully brief tease, but the confirmation of a release window is certainly exciting and nicely ties the new show in with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which swings into theaters on July 7th and stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Keaton, among others.
From what we’ve heard, Marvel’s Spider-Man, as it’s being called for now, will follow a young Peter Parker, one who’s still going through his teenage years, »

While the Golden Globe Awards are honoring greatness in film and television, Et is highlighting the most outrageous moments to have taken place at the awards show.
Most Outrageous Moment by a Presenter: Jeremy Renner
In 2015, The Avengers star couldn't help but comment on fellow presenter, Jennifer Lopez's, cleavage while announcing Billy Bob Thornton as the winner in the category for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.
After politely asking J. Lo to open the envelope, the singer admitted that she would be the best one to break through the seal since she's "got the nails," to which Renner quipped, "You got the globes, too."

Marvel has released a new synopsis for the upcoming sequel Thor: Ragnarok, giving fans a better idea of the film’s story while also confirming a rematch between Thor and Hulk after their battle from 2012’s The Avengers. Check out the synopsis below, along with a behind-the-scenes image featuring Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder alongside director Taika Waititi…
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.

Even after 14 films, there are still several superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that haven’t been nearly as fleshed out as Iron Man, Captain America and several others, despite being around for about as long.
Two of these characters include Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. While there have been campaigns aplenty to get Black Widow her own solo film, and it seems as if it might finally happen in Phase Four of the McU, Hawkeye hasn’t received nearly as much attention. Although in Renner’s mind, a Hawkeye/Black Widow team-up movie makes perfect sense and he’d totally be game for making one.
While speaking to British newspaper Metro (via Edmonton Sun), the actor touched on this topic, saying: “I always thought it would make sense early on to do a Hawkeye/Widow movie because they’re quite »
