Biologist Makes Cheese From Human Bacteria

Though there are few things on this planet that are more delicious than cheese, there's no denying that some varieties taste a whole lot better than they smell.  The disgusting truth is that many of the most foul smelling cheeses have on them species of bacteria that are quite similar to the bacteria found on the human body, which explains why unclean individuals are often described as having a 'cheesy' smell.  Are you grossed out yet?  Because if so, I must warn you that this post is about to get a whole lot more disgusting!

As part of an exhibition in Dublin, Ireland called Grow Your Own...Life After Nature, which is all about synthetic life, biologist Christina Agapakis and odor artist Sissel Tolaas worked together to create one of the more revolting art displays of all time, using human bacteria to make their own super stinky blend of cheese. »
