Despite Controversy and Trump Attacks, At&T Can’t Just Hang Up on CNN

Despite Controversy and Trump Attacks, At&T Can’t Just Hang Up on CNN
CNN producers just a few weeks ago would readily acknowledge the trouble they were having in getting Trump administration officials to speak about current events on the network. Now, they can’t get them to shut up.

Just last week, Trump adviser Stephen Miller took time out during a White House press briefing to berate Jim Acosta, the network’s senior White House correspondent. In a nearly half-hour interview broadcast July 27, then-White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci phoned in to “New Day” co-anchor Chris Cuomo to explain his concerns about leaks from the White House. When Scaramucci chastised CNN for its coverage of Russian interference with the election — and possible ties to Trump officials — Cuomo pushed back. “It’s not that we have some untoward fascination with an investigation. We do it because it threatens the foundation of the democracy,” he said. “You know that. You know it matters.”

President Trump Mocked for Making One of His Own Tweets into a Twitter Banner
On Monday, President Trump took one of his tweets to the next level … of his Twitter profile.

The president was widely mocked on social media after he briefly changed his Twitter banner to display one of his own tweets.

The tweet itself came after former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing that he was not aware of any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows – there is ‘no evidence’ of collusion w/ Russia and Trump,” read Trump’s tweet, which

Screen Bites: I watched Never Teach Your Wife to Drive so you didn't have to

Channel Seven pitches at lowest common denominator with this tedious reality TV filler that is both sexist and racist

Women can’t drive, and teaching them to do so will ruin your marriage. This is the premise of a show that aired across Australia last night, inspiring more despair in the hearts of TV enthusiasts than endless reruns of Seinfeld.

Where once they might have played a classic movie, these days free-to-air channels plug the holes in their midweek programming with one-off reality TV features or compilations of cat videos from YouTube.

The top 50 robots and AI computers in the movies

They can be clanking or lithe, as big as a planet or as small as a puppy. Here’s our list of cinema's 50 finest robots and AI computers…

Who doesn’t love robots? Our metal friends have long been a source of inspiration, wonder and fear for filmmakers and audiences. A way to examine our own humanity, and view emotions – or lack of them – from a new perspective, artificial intelligence has been in films for almost as long as we’ve been making them. We seem drawn to them, more often that not casting them as our creations gone rogue and seeking to rise up against us, but sometimes as tragic figures wanting to be more like us. Either way, they’re fascinating, and pretty damn cool.

50. Sonny – I, Robot

Brought to artificial life by the brilliant Alan Tudyk, Sonny is the robot at the heart of the Will Smith blockbuster,
