Apart from one minor complaint, a wonderful episode....
My reaction to this episode of "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau" is not typical of the average viewer. As a scuba diver, I kept watching the show and wondered where the heck they were filming the show. After all, I wanted to dive many of these same places. In a few cases, I had some idea (such as the Clown Fish which live in the Pacific) but often I kept wishing they'd say where they were! Some of it looked very familiar to me...much of it did not (I am used to mostly diving the Caribbean). This isn't exactly a complaint...but I sure would have loved if they had included this information.
As for the show, it's an investigation of various coral reefs as well as the creatures found among them. Much of it consisted of little experiments on animal behavior. The part that fascinated me the most was near the end when several divers went 300 feet deep--an incredibly dangerous and exacting sort of dive. All in all, a very beautiful and compelling episode well worth your time. And, if you're curious, it was directed by Cousteau's son, Philippe.
