Griffin Dunne with a big dick?
lor_24 April 2021
Paul Thomas made so many movies for Vivid Video that he often tried to make it less obvious that he was flooding the market, by using pseudonyms in the credits for lesser projects, e.g., Judy Blue or Chuck Lords. This very minor Vivid release is signed Paul Thomas, but clearly belongs to that lesser group.

I found it accidentally in the Marc Dorcel hopper, it having been released in France by Dorcel with the translated title "Apres Minuit". Given the fact that Thomas directed the star Monique Alexander in a true classic "Cry Wolf" I expected a significant movie but alas this one is a sloppily made trifle.

It's not a ripoff, but is obviously a riff on the Scorsese picture "After Hours", starring Griffin Dunne and written by Joseph Minion. We're in L. A. rather than NYC's SoHo neighborhood, but lead Tommy Gunn is followed around in nearly real time stuck with a lady in jeopardy played almost charmingly by Monique Alexander. I say almost, because there is so little script here and the action is so arbitrary that her performance is largely relegated to the sex scenes.

Many porn actresses flesh out the action, notably well-built stars like Lexie Marie, Eva Angelina and Emilliana. The sex scenes are hot, but overall it seems slapped together, especially in terms of the failure to whip up real jeopardy for Monique's character, who is being pursued by two thugs, and also in a lengthy opening sex scene starring Euro porn talent Barbara Summer and Chris Charming which has no relation to the rest of the movie at all.
