Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how explicit that aspect of the film is on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the Frightening/Intense Scenes category is the total sum of all the sections out of the highest sum possible (50) and therefore an approximation of how much explicit content of any kind is in the film.

Rating: 6/10

3 teens are shown smoking marijuana. Adults are shown drinking wine and other liquor.

Rating: 10/10

This movie deals with the rape of a teenage girl and her parents getting revenge on the rapists. All scenes pertaining to this are very intense.

During the first car wreck, a man bleeds on a picture of his children and is told that he will never see them again. Some viewers might find this disturbing.

A lot of scenes contain a lot of graphic material and blood (such as removing the bullet wound, stitching up the nose) and will be disturbing to many users (see the Violence & Gore section)

Many of the violent scenes are rather more disturbing and intense, than frightening/scary. Some scary scenes include:

The parents hear a repeated thumping sound outside their home, but it turns out to be a chair moving caused by wind.

A scene or two involving the murderers suddenly appearing in front of the parents.

A mild jump scene caused by a car slamming into another.

An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. Indiana Jones), 20-25 is good for anyone around 12 (i.e. The Dark Knight); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone that is squeamish or immature (i.e. A Nightmare on Elm Street); 30-40 is recommended for around 15/16 and up. (i.e. Braveheart). 40 and up is pretty much for adults, with ratings definitely hard R / NC-17 (i.e. A Clockwork Orange, This).

Overall Rating: 44/50
