Chris Hemsworth on the huge scale of Avengers: Infinity War, end of his Marvel contract

Earlier today we brought you some comments from Chris Evans about Avengers: Infinity War, and now it’s the turn of Chris Hemsworth, who has been chatting to The Toronto Sun about the sheer scale of the highly-anticipated superhero blockbuster and its as-yet-untitled sequel.

“This is one of the biggest things in film history and to be a part of it was just incredible,” said Hemsworth. “I think what these characters are about to face — with Thanos — there’s been nothing quite like it. There are 76 cast members or something like that. I think what people are going to be excited about is what I was excited about and that’s Thor meeting the Guardians and Iron Man meeting Doctor Strange. They’re going to be massive. I finished literally two days ago and I looked at (directors) Joe and Anthony Russo and said, ‘I don’t know how you

Chris Evans confident with Avengers: Infinity War as “Marvel doesn’t miss”

With the release of Avengers: Infinity War fast approaching, it’s getting hard to contain our excitement for the Marvel superhero epic, which is set to serve as the culmination of everything we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the past ten years.

Speaking at Ace Comic-Con this past weekend, Chris Evans has been reflecting on his part in the film’s enormous ensemble cast, as well as sharing his own excitement for the final product, stating confidently that “Marvel doesn’t miss”.

“That was the best part of this movie, is that you really kind of, it really was for the first time for me feeling like… the first few movies it’s almost like it’s happening to somebody else,” said Evans. “You kind of feel like you’re watching it happen, but you’re not actually a part of it. This was kind of the

Joe Russo says Steve Rogers “isn’t exactly Nomad” in Avengers: Infinity War

Last summer, it was rumoured that Chris EvansSteve Rogers would be taking on a new alias in Avengers: Infinity War, suiting up as his one of his alternate comic book alter egos – Nomad – after laying down Captain America’s shield at the end of Captain America: Civil War.

Evans himself added to the speculation this past weekend, signing both ‘Cap’ and ‘Nomad’ on a Captain America shield during an appearance at Arizona’s Ace Comic Con. However, we now have confirmation from Infinity War co-director Joe Russo that Cap won’t be Nomad exactly, but will be “in the spirit of that character.”

“Our approach to the [Steve Rogers] was to deconstruct him, to take him in a different direction,” Russo told Fantasy Focus Football. “Obviously you can’t deal with a character called Captain America without dealing with the thematics behind that, so we wanted a relevancy to it and

As may assumed after the first trailer for Infinity War, Lego set leaks have confirmed that it won’t be Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark donning the Hulkbuster suit in the movie, but rather Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner. As yet, it’s unclear whether this confirms the speculation that Banner may be getting separated from his angry alter-ego, but it certainly adds some weight to it.

Chris Evans believes that Robert Downey Jr. is irreplaceable as Iron Man

As we approach the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the impending arrival of Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel, it seems pretty evident that we’re going to see some major changes within the McU over the next couple of years.

It has already been said on several occasions that the two-part Infinity War will mark both an end and a new beginning for the franchise, as actors’ contracts expire and the focus shifts towards newer characters. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has previously addressed this, stating that the series could go down the Bond route of recasting, or have younger characters picking up the mantle, but according to Chris Evans, there’s one actor who is irreplaceable – Robert Downey Jr.

“He’s such a wonderful guy and is so talented, and so experienced, and so supportive. He’s always been in my corner. I’ve always felt supported by him.

Avengers 4 set photo may debunk time travel theories

Over the past few months we’ve seen several set photos from Avengers 4 suggesting that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes could be embarking on some kind of time travel in the follow up to Avengers: Infinity War [see here and here for examples], but now we have another spy photo which may have just debunked those theories…

As you’ll no doubt notice in the image above, the briefcase is labelled ‘Binary Augmented Retro Framing’, referring to the technology in Captain America: Civil War where we saw a younger version of Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark alongside his parents. That could certainly explain how we’re revisiting certain scenes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the presence of the likes of Ant-Man during the events of the first Avengers movie. But as for how this might factor into the plot, who knows? If you have any theories,

Latest Avengers 4 set photos featuring Iron Man, Cap, The Hulk and Ant-Man may feature a spoiler

Over the past few months we’ve seen a number of photos from the set of Avengers 4 which seems to suggest that the film will include flashbacks or time travel, and the latest images to arrive online over at JustJared seemingly confirm that theory.

The images feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America – and as you’ll notice, Steve Rogers is clean-shaven, and wearing his original Avengers outfit.

Now, we’ve already seen some photos of Downey, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki recreating The Avengers’ final scene of Loki being transported back to Asgard, but Ant-Man has no business being part of a flashback – and if you look closely, the heroes seem to all be wearing strange contraptions on their hands. Could this allow them to travel through time? Or has Cap just

“It doesn’t give much away, for sure, because I remember watching it going, ‘aw, it doesn’t tell people enough,'” said Hemsworth. “And then Joe Russo was like, you don’t need to tell them anything, they want anything… Like, ‘Does it explain the story?’ It’s like, it doesn’t need to… [it’s] just a smorgasbord of cool shit. I think we were all excited, watching it, just looking at each other going, ‘Oh my God, look what we’re a part of.’ You know, you’re on the grind and

Chris Hemsworth wants to continue playing Thor beyond Avengers 4

We know that the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 is set to mark both an end and a new beginning for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as contracts with several of the McU’s original stars expire and the focus starts to shift towards newer characters.

One of the actors whose contract is up with Avengers 4 is Chris Hemsworth, but it seems that the two sequels and last year’s Thor: Ragnarok have reinvigorated his love for the mighty Thor, so much so that he’s now hoping to extend his time as the God of Thunder.

“I’ve just, literally two days ago, finished Avengers 4 and that’s my contract — my preexisting contract is done now, so it’s kind of like, ‘wow, that’s it,'” Hemsworth told IGN. “Two or three films ago I was like, ‘okay, a couple more.’ I was enjoying it but I was like…

Anthony Russo is most excited for Thor’s storyline in Avengers: Infinity War

Judging from the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, there is a metric-ton to be excited about. There is so much going on in the footage, that it’s hard to pick just one moment that stands out. Well, what about the creators of the film? What’s their favorite part of the movie? It turns out, director Anthony Russo has his pick. Speaking to Comicbook.com, the Avengers: Infinity War co-director reveals that he is on team Thor:

“I’m going to pick Thor because Thor, we’re picking up his story from the end of Thor: Ragnarok and at the end of that film as any fan would know his home planet of Asgard is destroyed, and so the character is in new territory so to speak, because his past has been torn away from him to a degree.”

Anthony also spoke about Thor’s evolution in the movie,

“I’m most excited for the audience to learn about [Thanos]. I think he’s a very interesting and complex villain. That’s why I like him, that’s why I’m excited for the audience to learn about him. I think his motivations are, albeit, psychotic, compelling, and I think that this, in a lot of ways, is his movie, so it’s going
