Channing Tatum And Jonah Hill Look Great In First 21 Jump Street Poster

21 December 2011 9:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

We got the first two red and green band trailers for the upcoming 21 Jump Street film adaptation back in November, and they looked so great. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill look to have such great comedy chemistry in this, bouncing off each other perfectly, which is naturally a good thing in an action comedy like this. Think Seth Rogen/James Franco’s unexpectedly great chemistry in Pineapple Express, and you’re on the right track.

We then got a brand new trailer for the film yesterday, and to follow it up, we’ve now got the film’s brilliant first poster to share with you, courtesy of their own Facebook page.

Co-written by Hill and Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), the film has been helmed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, best known for their previous work co-directing Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, and if these trailers are anything to go by, »

New “21 Jump Street” Trailer Leaps In

20 December 2011 11:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Although we have already had a lengthy red-band trailer for the upcoming Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill-starring reboot of 21 Jump Street, there is still a place for another one. And that place is here.

If you caught the previous trailer, there won’t be much here that is new, but it still has a lot to commend it, with Tatum in particular proving himself as an engaging dead-pan comedy performer. Admittedly, much of what he is doing here is looking slightly confused and bewildered, but watching him and Hill desperately trying to remember what Miranda Rights are is undeniably funny.

Hill for his part is clearly at home with the genre and content and both the principals look to be having plenty of fun. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who previously paired up for the under-rated animated film Cloudy With A  Chance Of Meatballs) seem to be joining »

New Trailer & Poster For Channing Tatum & Jonah Hill’s ’21 Jump Street’

19 December 2011 2:15 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

After conquering the animated world with their charming feature debut, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, directing duo Phil Lord & Chris Miller are reteaming to take on live action for their sophomore effort. This film is a remake of the 1987-1991 TV series, 21 Jump Street, which starred a then unknown Johnny Depp (who is said to making a cameo in this as his original character). This update will star Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as undercover police officers who investigate a drug ring at a high school, and thus hilarity ensues.

Following the red band trailer, a new one has now been released for the upcoming comedy. Check it out below via Digital Spy:

Also just released is a new poster for the film, featuring Hill and Tatum posing in typical spy style, along with a tagline that gave me a slight chuckle. Check it out below, via Daily Blam: »

New '21 Jump Street' trailer: They're cops, but they're also buddies!

19 December 2011 1:54 PM, PST | EW - Inside Movies | See recent EW.com - Inside Movies news »

There are plenty of reasons to be hopeful for next year’s 21 Jump Street movie. The film stars (and was co-written by) Jonah Hill, who’s coming off positive reviews and Golden Globe nomination for Moneyball. His co-star, Channing Tatum, appears to be preparing to make the leap from meathead action heroics to adorably self-aware meathead action heroics. And Jump Street marks the live-action debut of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller — which makes it oddly relevant in a period that also includes Brad Bird’s Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol and Andrew Stanton’s John Carter. »

New Trailer and Poster for 21 Jump Street

19 December 2011 11:49 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

A new trailer and poster have debuted for 21 Jump Street. The trailer only has a small amount of new footage from the last trailer we saw, but the movie still looks great. I was a huge fan of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and they seem to have brought their oddball sense of humor to Jump Street. Stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum look to be genuinely funny, and the film continues to be high on my most anticipated list for 2012. Hit the jump to check out the trailer and poster. The film also stars Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Dave Franco, Nick Offerman, and Rob Riggle. 21 Jump Street opens March 16th, 2012. Here’s the official synopsis for 21 Jump Street: Schmidt and Jenko are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, »

Here comes a new poster for 21 Jump Street, featuring its stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum dressed up all nice for prom. I really like how they've made jokes about the character's age in the trailer, because it was something that always bugged me about the original show. These guys just didn't look like high school kids. 21 Jump Street hits March 16th, 2012 from the directors of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Doctor Gash's Tip of the Scalpel: A Tribute to Bruce Campbell

15 December 2011 1:07 PM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

"This is my boomstick!" Bruce Campbell was already a full-fledged horror icon before reciting that unforgettable line from Army of Darkness, but this put the cherry on top. "Boomstick" was Campbell's "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", his "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", his "Stairway to Heaven".

Here at Doctor Gash's Tip of the Scalpel column, we're used to paying tribute to the real baddies of horror. The nastier character you portrayed, the more love you'll get here. Campbell is the rare Scalpel honoree who's recognized for his portrayal of a hero. Throughout his illustrious career Campbell has appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, but it's one character in particular that we all fell in love with that earned Campbell his Tip of the Scalpel nod. I'm talking, of course, of Ashley J. "Ash" Williams.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 Gets Two Directors

15 December 2011 12:00 PM, PST | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

This past summer, we reported to you that the sequel to Sony Pictures Animation, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs would employ Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The story for the sequel in fact not follow Ron and Judi Barrett’s follow-up children’s book, Pickles to Pittsburgh. Instead, this film is to be “based on an original idea.”

According to Variety, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 will be directed by a team of Sony Animation’s own artists, Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, both of which had worked on the first film. Cameron was a story artist and Pearn was head of story. Phil Lord and Chris Miller who directed the original, will be executive producing.

Meatballs 2 has not officially received a greenlight yet but they have veteran Sony Animation producer Kirk Bodyfelt working on this project’s development.

Sony Sets Co-Directors For Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2

14 December 2011 9:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Way back in April last year, a sequel to 2009’s Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs was announced, coming just a few months after the first film’s substantial success, turning Sony’s $100m. budget into just under $250m. at the box office, an incredibly impressive feat for the relatively new directing pair of Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Variety are reporting that Sony are once again turning to a relatively unknown duo to direct the sequel, in the form of Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, two Sony Animation artists who will be making their major debut with Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2.

Whilst I admit that I’m still yet to see the original, it looked brilliant when it came out two years ago, and had a lot of terrific talent lending their voices for the film, headed up by Bill Hader and Anna Faris, with Nil Patrick Harris, »

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 Lands A Pair Of Directors

The 2009 animated film Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs was the definition of a surprise hit. While nobody really expected anything from it, it turned out to be well liked by critics and pull in nearly $250 million at the international box office. There's been talk of a sequel for some time now, with the writers of Horrible Bosses hired to pen the script this past summer, but the directors chair has been left empty as Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the filmmakers behind the first film, have signed on for projects like Bob The Musical and the Lego movie. So who will replace them? Today we have our answer. Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn to direct Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2, according to Variety. While both Cameron and Pearn worked on the first movie, as story artist and head of story, respectively, the sequel will be their first mainstream »

Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn Tapped to Serve You More Meatballs

Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” was one of the biggest surprises of 2009, and, truthfully, I’m surprised it’s taken Sony this long to get off their collective behinds and start developing a sequel. After all, the film did amass $230 million worldwide, which isn’t too shabby given that the premise isn’t immediately accessible to those who haven’t read the book. If, like so many others, you decided to pass on the flick, by all means, correct this issue Asap, especially if you fancy Bill Hader and Anna Faris. And I know a lot of you out there do. New Experienced Duo to Direct 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2'

The dynamic duo of Phil Lord and Chris Miller brought fantastic life to the adaptation of the classic children's book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, even if it deviated far from the source material, but now a different team will tackle the forthcoming sequel. Variety reports Sony Animation artists Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn will be at the helm of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, which, as we learned in July, will not be based on the sequel book, titled Pickles in Pittsburgh. At this point we don't know anything about the story, but the talent being lined up behind the camera doesn't have me worried in the slightest. Pearn and Cameron worked on the first film as head of story and a story artist respectively and the former is also responsible for the home video sequel Open Season 3.
