Sex & Nudity

TV-MA for brutal bloody horror violence, grisly images, pervasive language, strong sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use throughout

Graphic simulations of sex scenes including thrusting and moaning. All types of sex is implied including anal and oral.

Nudity is graphically shown including breasts and butts.

In some scenes we graphically see female and male pubic region

In one episode two werewolves transform back into humans and start kissing we see her pubic region and breasts then another woman comes we see her pubic region and breasts she puts her hand on the other woman's head and forces her to give oral sex to a man, very graphic.

Other sexual references/dialogue throughout.

Violence & Gore

The violence in True Blood is overall graphic and violent. However, the violence is quick and brief.

When vampires are staked, they explode into a pile of blood and guts.

Multiple scenes of violence are shown, including: beheadings, stakings, disembowelments, and many more.

It may well be that every swear word possible is used at least once an episode.

"Jesus" is abused repeatedly (and in the pilot episode one character says to another, "You know I hate it when you use the 'J' word"). "Christ" and "God" are also misused.

Other curses include a great many instances of "fuck," "cunt," "cock," "shit," "bitch," "bastard," "prick," "pussy," "dick," etc.

There are also various racial slurs.

Vampire blood is a drug to humans. It works as a hallucinogen to humans. It also works as viagra.

Several characters drink heavily, and smoking is shown as well.

Some of the characters smoke tobacco.

Characters smoke Marijuana some times.

One of the characters is a drug dealer and takes different kinds of drugs.

The show is not overly intense but the theme of the film, the sex, the language, the violence are somehow creepy for lots of audiences.
