Meanwhile, speaking during The Gifted panel at Comic-Con, executive producer Matt Nix has confirmed that there will not be any crossover with the X-Men movies or Legion, as the show exists in a different “time stream”:
“One of the great favors that Days of Future Past did for all of us is establish that there are many streams. One answer is that we exist in one of those streams. This is its own universe, we don’t exist in the same timeline as any specific movie or comics. But there are shared characters. We’re doing our own thing, and, as I say, there are many streams. »

The trailer for Professor Marston and the Wonder Women reveals how a love triangle between Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston, his wife Elizabeth and Olive Byrne, fueled the creation of the Wonder Woman comics.
The film, based on real-life events, stars Luke Evans as Dr. Marston, Rebecca Hall as his wife and Bella Heathcote as their lover. The teaser suggests that the fiercely independent characteristics that made Wonder Woman radical when she appeared came directly from Marston's relationships with Elizabeth and Olive. All three lived together for a time. »
“Professor Marston & The Wonder Women”
“Wonder Woman” has now grossed over $765 million worldwide, making the Patty Jenkins-directed blockbuster the highest-grossing live-action film ever helmed by a woman. For many, Diana Prince’s origin story served as an introduction to the Wonder Woman character. Others were already familiar with the beloved comic book heroine. But few know the controversial story behind her creation. Inspired by true events, Angela Robinson’s “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women” tells the story of “Wonder Woman” creator Dr. William Moulton Marston (Luke Evans, “Beauty and the Beast”) and the women who inspired the iconic character: his wife, Elizabeth (Rebecca Hall, “Vicky Christina Barcelona”), and lover, Olive Byrne (Bella Hathcote, “Man in the High Castle”).
“I think you long for an unconventional life,” Olive tells Elizabeth in a newly released trailer for the drama. And it’s clear that all three of the film’s protagonists desire just that — but realize that defying the norm, be it professionally or personally, carries a heavy toll. We see Marston reprimanded by a colleague (Connie Britton, “Nashville”) who says that “Every issue of ‘Wonder Woman’ is filled with violence, torture, and sadomasochism.” And as for the romance between Marston, Olive, and Elizabeth, the latter seems to think “it can never happen” because “the world won’t let it.”
Robinson most recently worked on the Shondaland series “How to Get Away with Murder” as a consulting producer. Her other credits include “True Blood,” “The L Word,” “Herbie Fully Loaded,” and “D.E.B.S.”
Check out the trailer to hear Olive’s take on why “a woman must not be told how to use her freedom.”
“Professor Marston & The Wonder Women” opens October 27.

Thus far, Annapurna has been playing it pretty cagey when it comes to “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women.” Certainly, the title does a lot of the heavy lifting, particularly when a certain DC Films effort is dominating the box office. But now, the curtain is being lifted just a little bit more.
Written and directed by Angela Robinson (“The L Word,” “True Blood“) and starring Luke Evans, Bella Heathcote, and Rebecca Hall, the biopic will detail the unconventional life of the titular Harvard psychologist who invented the lie detector, engaged in a polyamorous relationship, and created the iconic Wonder Woman character — which he based on the relationships with the women in his life.

It’s never a great sign when a network show debuts in the dead of summer, more than a year after it was first announced. But those red flags make sense when you actually watch Midnight, Texas (premiering Monday, July 24 at 10/9c on NBC) — an overstuffed, often ridiculous supernatural drama that somehow manages to make a town filled with magical creatures seem crushingly dull.
