Luke Grimes Starring in ‘Yellowstone’ With Kevin Costner (Exclusive)

23 June 2017 7:01 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Luke Grimes will star opposite Kevin Costner in “Yellowstone,” Variety has learned.

The Paramount Network show is set in the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, which, despite its size, finds its borders threatened by land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park. Costner plays the ranch owner’s patriarch, while Grimes plays his youngest son, Cory.

The television series was created by Taylor Sheridan, the Oscar-nominated writer of “Hell or High Water” and “Sicario.”

Grimes most recently finished filming “El Camino Christmas” for Netflix, which was written and produced by Ted Melfi and was directed by David E. Talbert. »

BnB Hell Trailer Invites You in for a Nice Peaceful Slay Over

22 June 2017 11:39 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

108 Media has debuted the trailer and poster for its thriller BnB Hell, which is currently available on Digital HD and VOD in the U.S. and Canada. The harrowing thriller can currently be purchased through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, YouTube and Microsoft Store. This footage may make you think twice about checking out that quaint bed and breakfast you found online, because it might not be as advertised, and may end up costing you your life.

The trailer, which comes courtesy of 108 Media showcases a young woman named Willa (Kimberly Woods), who has been on the hunt for her missing sister, which ends at a rundown bed and breakfast in the Hollywood Hills run by an ill-tempered woman called Mommy (Carol Stanzione). When she discovers a camera in her room, another guest Marco (Victor Dobrev) tells her that it's the house camera, for guests to record video diaries, although it has been mysteriously turned. After checking the camera, Willa finds disturbing messages left by former guests, which suggest unsettling secrets lay buried there.

The supporting cast includes Timothy Lee DePriest as Baby, Victor Turpin as Sam, John Stevenson as Derek, Olivia Steifel as Alex, Jessica Graham as Jackie, Shayla Famouri as Darla, Tallie L. Brinson as Nathan and Stefanie Maxwell as Emily. The film marks the feature directorial debut of director Andrew Jordan, which has been freaking out horror fans with it's terrifying premise and shocking twist ending since debuting on VOD and Digital HD last week. Andrew Jordan previously directed episodes of the web series Chicks Flippin' the Script and the short film Heartprints, which he also produced and edited.

The film was written by Andrea Harrison, which marks her writing debut, although she has been a working actress for several years. She has appeared in films such as American Virgin, Violent Blue, Blue Dream, Mickey's Summer Resort, Caged Beauty and this year's Darling Nikki. She has also appeared on TV shows such as The League, Greek, True Blood and Castle, while also serving as a producer on BnB Hell, along with the TV series Miracle Mile Girls and the feature film A Beautiful Now. It remains to be seen if this writer-actress has more projects in development.

While there is no theatrical release date for this new thriller, it could very well find a home with horror fans on Digital HD and VOD formats. Since this film marks both the director and writer's feature debuts, we could certainly be hearing much more from them in the near future, if fans respond positively to BnB Hell. While we wait for more on these filmmakers, take a look at the trailer and poster for BnB Hell below. »

‘Shots Fired’s’ Stephen Moyer on Why Pushing His Co-Star Was ‘a Lot of Fun’ (Exclusive Video)

20 June 2017 7:22 PM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Stephen Moyer relished those moments when his character on Fox’s “Shots Fired” didn’t always keep his hands to himself. Moyer, who played the morally questionable Lieutenant Breeland, told TheWrap, “My character walks the line of, ‘is he racist, or is he somebody who’s protecting his kids?’ You never quite know where he is or where he stands, and so he ends up in this very ambiguous place.” One scene that was tough but also creatively fulfilling for Moyer to play was the one in which Breeland confronts an African-American football player. Script For The Deadwood Movie Is Painful And Beautiful, Says Kim Dickens

15 June 2017 8:36 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

If you cast your mind back many years ago, before Game of Thrones, Westworld and True Blood, you’ll remember that HBO first made an impact on the television landscape with shows like The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire and, of course, Deadwood. It only lasted three seasons, but the Western was one of the most critically acclaimed series of its time and amassed a small but incredibly loyal fanbase. Unfortunately though, the ratings just couldn’t justify the cost to produce the show and it was ultimately given the axe.

However, creator David Milch has always promised us that there’d be more. It’s been well over a decade now since Deadwood left television, but every so often a small update pops up on the proposed movie, which has been in development for a very long time. Said to wrap up the stories of the various characters in a satisfying manner, »

Why Janina Gavankar Owned E3 and Upped My ‘Star Wars Battlefront II’ Anticipation

13 June 2017 7:59 PM, PDT | TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news »

I have a newfound respect for Janina Gavankar after her performance at EA Play on Saturday.

Maybe "performance" isn't the right word. Though technically she was paid to be on stage, her genuine excitement felt like how I might react if ushered in front of the world by a legion of Imperial Stormtroopers to formally introduce new Star Wars Battlefront II footage.

Her rocking Imperial-themed dress aside, Janina commanded the stage and the Star Wars brand. I couldn't tell if she was reading off a teleprompter or not. She was confident, engaged, and you could absolutely tell it was a joy for her to represent EA and a galaxy far, far away.

Remembering Janina's solid performances from True Blood and Arrow is one thing. Seeing her in her element, blurring the line between actress and fan, was another. Memories of sitting in the crowd and squirming as stuffy suits or »

Bottom Line: You never know where you stand with Skarsgård, who has the complexity of a character actor beneath the leading-man looks that launched a thousand memes. His muscular swagger and danger is on display in “The Legend of Tarzan,” but his tender attentions to wife Jane (Margot Robbie) were that film’s throbbing heart. Release Date Set for Angela Robinson’s “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women”

9 June 2017 9:01 AM, PDT | Women and Hollywood | See recent Women and Hollywood news »

“Professor Marston & The Wonder Women

Another story about Diana, Princess of Themyscira is coming our way. Deadline reports that Annapurna’s “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women” will be released October 27. The film is based on the real-life story of “Wonder Woman” creator Dr. William Moulton Marston and the women who inspired the iconic superheroine: his wife, Elizabeth, and lover, Olive Byrne.

Written and directed by Angela Robinson (“The L Word,” “True Blood”), “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women” focuses on the original publication of the “Wonder Woman” comics — which psychologist Marston (Luke Evans, “Beauty and the Beast”) published under the pseudonym Charles Moulton — and the polyamorous relationship between himself, his wife (Rebecca Hall, “Christine”), and Byrne (Bella Heathcote, “Man in the High Castle”). Connie Britton (“Nashville”) also stars.

The announcement of “Professor Marston’s” release date follows the overwhelming success of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” at the box office and among critics. The Gal Gadot-starrer has grossed $263,676,720 worldwide to date. Also, because of the film, Jenkins now holds the record for highest domestic opening for a female director.

Check out the recently-released “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women” teaser below. It debuted before screenings of “Wonder Woman.”
