Flounder: We can't just stay out here late, Ariel. It's getting cold
Ariel: Oh, Flounder, you're a fish! You're always the same temperature!

Ariel and the dangerous whirlpool
10 May 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I love the Little Mermaid series, and I love the film as well. Charmed is not in my top 5 favourite episodes like Wish Upon a Starfish, Whale of a Tale, The Evil Manta(or In Harmony), Stormy and a Little Evil, it is still a very enjoyable episode. The story is fun and exciting and ends in a very touching manner, and the writing is very good. I also liked the colourful animation here, and I thought the animation of the whirlpool itself was very well done. The music was really nice, I was kind of disappointed that Ariel didn't sing here, but the orchestral music is sweet and lovely. The voice work is great, Jodi Benson is wonderful as Ariel, Kenneth Mars is just as good as King Triton and Samuel E.Wright is great fun as Sebastian, possibly my favourite characters in the series. Overall, very enjoyable episode, not a favourite but great all the same. 9/10 Bethany Cox
