Originality. So often today we plop down on the couch to watch a good movie and are disappointed time and again by the same old boring crap. As if it weren't bad enough, the studios have begun doing remakes of old movies. Now I'll be the first to admit the new Italian Job was an exceptional film, but the point is that original plots only occur once in a blue moon. I'm told that the alternative is the independent film. Yeah, right... While some do show a little promise, they usually substitute entertaining content for some crackpot's political message. Not this one! The Pink Conspiracy has a highly original plot line, well developed characters and it all comes together seamlessly as a great dark comedy. The director does a superb job of acquainting you with the characters, making you feel sorry for them, and yet still allowing you to laugh at them when misfortunes begin to happen.
If you haven't seen it, do. If you don't like it... sorry to have lead you astray, but it's in my top 10 movies list for sure.
