John Hawkes, Jon Bernthal, Thomas Haden Church join 'The Peanut Butter Falcon'

Armory Films has announced that John Hawkes, Jon Bernthal, Thomas Haden Church, and Yelawolf will join the cast of The Peanut Butter Falcon.

The film directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz centres on Zak, a young man with Down Syndrome who has been confined to live in a retirement home for most of his life.

One day he breaks out and takes to the road to try to find his hero, a retired wrestler named The Salt Water Redneck. Along the way Zak experiences adventure and danger, and joins forces with a desperado crab fisherman and a kind nurse. 

The cast also includes newcomer Zachary Gottsagen, Shia Labeouf, Dakota Johnson, and Bruce Dern.

On Friday, the couple announced in a Duggar family blog post that they are expecting their fifth child — a baby boy due later this year.

Although the former reality stars, who rose to fame on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, admit that the past two years — which included scandal and infidelity — haven’t been easy for them to get through, they believe that “beauty comes from ashes” and say they are looking forward to what’s in store. »

Many of the actors on VH1’s new scripted series The Breaks (premiering Monday, Feb. 20) were just kids during the early ’90s era of hip-hop captured in loving detail on the show. Yet, they’re still able to channel the spirit of that moment in the culture’s history because of how far they’ve gone to prepare for their roles.

For Mack Wilds, who also stars on Fox’s racially charged drama Shots Fired, premiering March 22, that meant actually learning how to spin records in order to add to hip-hop producer DeeVee’s skill set. When DeeVee takes part in a DJ battle at NYC’s New Music Seminar on the show, Wilds was prepared to go through the motions.
