Garry Shandling scripts his third of four episodes
kevinolzak19 November 2016
"The Camping Trip" was that rare episode set entirely away from the junk yard, and the third of four scripted by Garry Shandling. Fred just wants to go home while Lamont tries to ease his fears about the wilderness. Among the items found on the truck is a club which will serve as Fred's snake bite kit: "if a snake bites me this weekend, I'm gonna lay this upside your copperhead and rattle it!" Lamont wants to know why they're always arguing all the time: "we don't argue all the time, only when we're together!" Making conversation proves impossible, and when the truck doesn't start panic sets in under the snowfall. Some well chosen clips from previous entries, "The Engagement Man Always Rings Twice," "My Kingdom for a Horse" ("Pop, what's that horse doin' in the kitchen?" "how should I know, you saw him last!"), and "Earthquake II." Scout leader Ms. Barnes is played by Carol Arthur, remembered as the wife of Dom DeLuise.
