Sketch comedy shows could learn (and maybe some keen comedians have) from an episode like "Popcorn Pandemonium" in how to create a theme for the episode that gives the opportunity for lots of different gags that all fall under the episode's concept.

Spitballs is very good, but Popcorn Pandemonium steals the show here. It's brilliant from start to finish with a huge array of clever gags.
