Parents Guide for
Superman II (2006) (V) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

There is no sex or nudity in "Superman II: Richard Donner's Cut" but there is a brief kissing scene invovling Superman & Lois.

Clark and Lois sleep in a bed together, but nothing is shown.

After Clark and Lois are shown together in the bed, Lois walks around the Fortress of Solitude in only Superman's costume shirt, and a pair of socks

Violence & Gore

There are a lot of action sequences but there is little blood invovled, during a fight scene in a hotdog joint Clark is shown to be quite bloody, but it isn't graphic in the least bit. Only comic violence involving super powers.

There is an occassional curse word here and there but there is none in the film otherwise.

Perry White & Lex Luthor smoke but there is no drugs invovled.

Superman and Lois drink a glass of champagne, this however only lasts a few moments, as the scene ends quickly

Most of the scenes are lighthearted, and the only two scenes that may frighten younger viewers would be the fight scene between Superman, Zod, Ursula, and Non, but the scene only lasts a few minutes, also the scene when Zod, Ursa, and Non storm the White House Zod is shown briefly using a gun to kill people (as oposed to the Lester cut where Zod does not use a gun) and most viewers will be able to handle these brief situations.

Rated PG for sequences of action violence, some language and brief mild sensuality
