An ok episode, Valerie Leon is wasted though.

Barry receives an application from a new recruit, who wants to join his merry men, DW Cheetham arrives in town. Barry is feeling fed up, Howard wants to learn to fly.

Before we go anywhere, the main interest here is of course Valerie Leon, famous to many as The High Karate girl, and of course The Carry on and James Bond films. She is great here, even if the written part is slightly lacking.

Howard provides the laughs, as he so often does, I enjoyed the moments of him in his flying gear, he certainly looks the part.

I like that Miss Davenport is finally settling in, and becoming a bit of a character, I loved how she tormented Barry, nice that we had an overhang from the previous episode, it doesn't happen often.

Not bad, 6/10.

Who's That Merry Man with Billy, Then?

Ivy's cafe has a food hygiene certificate. I never noticed it before. It's so 21st Century.

Billy has a letter from a DW Cheetham who wants to be a merry man.

Only for him to be a her and she is a crack shot on the arrows as well as rather tall.

Billy wants shot of her before his wife finds out. Hopefully Nora Batty would do the trick as a witch who wants her gone.

Meanwhile Howard wants to drop his pinny and be a flying ace. Maybe he is just the daredevil for DW Cheetham.

Valerie Leon who plays DW Cheetham used to be a bit of a bombshell back in the 1960s and 70s. She was a regular in a few Carry On films as well as the Bond movies.

I dare say Billy would not have turned down the 1960s era of DW Cheetham!
