Hermione (the short course)

Smiler is more miserable than normal. For some reason he keeps uttering 'Hermione.' All because a date with her went wrong and he has been ditched.

Meanwhile a 'Do Not Disturb' sign outside Clegg's house has attracted a crowd. One passerby keeps mentioning that Clegg might have topped himself.

Clegg is writing his memoirs and Howard is upset that his escapades could be featured.

Barry ends up helping out Mr Teasdale in repossessing a car. Not something Barry is comfortable with.

A couple of laughs here as everyone gets to do something. Roy Clarke getting the most of his expanded cast although Entwistle and Smiler are the standouts.

Seeing Billy in a whole new light.

Clegg has placed a Do not disturb sign outside his house, it causes a stir, meanwhile Smiler is more miserable than ever, the reason Hermione.

Pretty good, a couple of funny moments, but it is relying heavily on the same aspects week on week, those being Alvin, Howard and Marina. Alvin has definitely moved into The Compo role, flirting with Nora Batty and doing the physical stuff.

I like seeing Marina interacting with Miss Davenport, their mutual disappointments are amusing to watch, physically different, but the same essentially.

It definitely feels like they're giving Norman a bit of a break, and he is missed, his dry one liners are the core Last of the Summer wine.

It's mildly funny, but sweet, 6/10.
