Foggy: My theory is: muck.
Compo: I'm not surprised.
Foggy: As a nation we do not use good old farmyard muck in the way we used to.
Clegg: Well, not for spreading on the land, may be, but there's still a good deal of bull...
Foggy: Uh, uh, uh uh uh.
CleggFoggy: Well, there's still a good deal of it about generally. That is western civilizations biggest post-war growth industry.

A brilliant episode from the fourth series of 'Last of the Summer Wine'

The trio want some vegetables for Sunday Lunch. They go to Bickerdyke, a local Greengrocer, who has won many prizes. There is just one problem, success has got to him and he is big headed. The trio go, but get chased out by a big dog. This angers the trio. This gives Compo an idea. There is a massive carrot hung on a wall in the village. Why don't they take it, walk past Bickerdyke's with it and then bring it back. Foggy isn't too sure, it is breaking the law. He says they can go ahead, but must do with military planning. They get the carrot, walk past Bickerdyke's with it and Bickerdyke watches with amazement. Now they have to get it back.

One of my favourite episodes of 'Last of the Summer Wine' which brilliantly shows the trio have a bit of daring adventure left within themselves. The reason I've done this review was because I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of the great Brian Wilde who died yesterday. He was superb as Foggy in this, probably my favourite Summer Wine character of all time. He was brilliant also as Mr Barrowclough in 'Porridge' Out of the famous trio, Foggy, Compo and Clegg, only Clegg is still with us.

Best Bit: Getting the carrot down makes the carrot swing at Foggy.
