Trivia

There is a season three episode of NCIS, titled "Mind Games," that has a very similar storyline to this episode. A man is on death row and a victim with the same M.O. is discovered, which is part of the man on death row's game to mess with the agent who arrested him and delay his execution. See more »

Quotes

Howard Epps: Caroline's the best I could do in here.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Yeah, not your usual type, Howie. I mean, not young, not blonde.
Dr. Temperance Brennan: Not dead.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Bones, could you please shut up?
Dr. Temperance Brennan: [getting offended] Excuse me?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: [to Epps] Is this why you duct-tape their mouths? Because *that* I understand.
Howard Epps: [leans forward slight pause] That's the lamest attempt at bonding I've ever seen.

Sick Dude!

This is the second episode on Howard Epps, a serial killer who was introduced in the first season. Howard is again on death roe for killing three people. Another victim has been found, which just may lead them to more questions. We learn that since the last episode, Howard is married. Why anyone would marry him is beyond my comprehension, but it happens...

Brennan is played by Epps (and is played by other killers in the future). She helps Booth try to figure out who's doing the latest killings. The results has life-changing effects for Brennan. There is a very sweet scene at the end where Booth is loving making Brennan come to terms with what she did.

There is one more episode on this story line, I believe it's later in this season. Get ready, because it's pretty sick!
