Step Brothers (2008) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

We see a bare-breasted woman on one or two magazines briefly.

Man and Woman fall onto bed and woman hangs over the man. They kiss, implying sex briefly before the scene cuts.

A woman in a small dress made of leaves and a man in centaur form briefly, but passionately kiss in a fantasy.

Another fantasy where a man dressed as a lumberjack walks into a woman's house and rips off her clothes, revealing corset type dress. They kiss briefly.

Some people tauntingly chant that a male protagonist has a "mangina". Testicles are briefly talked about.

Sexual lyrics in a rap song, similar to others of the same genre.

Violence & Gore

The brothers are beaten by school kids, and forced to lick dog poop. They are briefly seen bruised and a bit bloody after.

The brothers pay back the school kids, bloodlessly hitting them (no injuries shown).

An unsympathetic character is hit in the face, he is briefly seen with a tiny bloody nose.

A bunk bed falls on a man by accident. He only has a cut afterwards (brief).

The two brothers get into a comic scuffle.

Profanity

47 uses of 'fuck', 27 of 'shit', 8 of 'ass' (1 used sexually), 7 of 'dick' (mostly nonsexual), and 1 of 'skank hooker', 'pussy', and 'asshole'. Also a rap video titled 'Boats and Hoes' is shown and later referenced (several uses of 'hoes').

A few drug references. No drug use.

People drink wine socially in a few scenes. Beer is seen once or twice. No smoking.

Nothing is meant to be intense. Steven Seagal is briefly shown shooting/beating people in an action movie.
