Parents Guide for
The Darjeeling Limited (2007)

advertisement
The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

A man and woman have sex, but the scene isn't graphic. There's kissing and some heavy-breathing, but no nudity. 2 sexual uses of the F word.

For those whose screening the short film precursor "Hotel Chevalier," there is a nude female standing in profile, with the possibly offensive parts of her body concealed from the camera's view.

Violence & Gore

A boy hits his head and bleeds to death in a river, a man tries to save him, and there's blood on his face and neck when he lifts him up.

A man who was involved in an accident (and is bandaged for the majority of the film) removes his bandages to reveal serious scars and disfiguration.

A reference is made to a man-eating tiger eating a human.

Profanity

Sometimes strong, but pretty infrequent for an R-rated movie. About 10 f-words, about 10 s-words and a few mild profanities.

Characters abuse cough medicine and painkillers in a couple scenes, and characters smoke tobacco cigarettes in several scenes.

A boy hits his head and bleeds to death in a river, a man tries to save him, and there's blood on his face and neck when he lifts him up.

There is a sequence involving an extremely deadly cobra on the loose in a train cabin.
