Partly gritty episode.

Ackland and Hollis are first on the scene of an apparent domestic case, meanwhile the higher ranking officers attend a training day.

Was the training day side of it there show that Policing was changing, and that some of the attitudes were outdated?

It's watchable, the two threads sort of clash with one another, one is very serious and gritty, the other is much later.

It features Kerry Peers, who plays Jenny, I remember her as playing Suzy a few years later, maybe her strong acting her came to someone's attention.

Great to see Linda Bassett, as well as Charles Kay, have just watched him in Marple, what an actor with variety.

I think part of this story will develop in the future, seems likely. 8/10.
