And, What the Heck Is "The Speed Of Silence"?
1 February 2015 | by See all my reviews

Underneath its super-glossy facade of fast & flashy cars, fiery explosions, head-on collisions and rainbow-colored, CG animation, Speed Of Silence (SOS, for short) turned out to be one of the most petty, nasty and annoying stories about team player in-fighting that I've had the displeasure of watching in a mighty long time.

I couldn't believe what a bunch of mean, sniveling sucks these supposedly "macho-men" Metal Maniacs turned out to be. With all of that steroid-induced muscle (and no brains), it really killed me to watch these guys strut around. I swear that each one of them moved as if he had a full load of fresh crap in his pants. It was hilarious to see.

And besides that - Every single character in this decidedly confused tale about winning a race at all costs and proving one's masculinity, was such an irksome stereotype that it was downright sickening. And the dialog was so clichéd that it got on my nerves, like you wouldn't believe.

I found SOS to be a perfect example of completely irresponsible movie-making that actually encourages youngsters (clearly its intended audience) to believe that having a sneering, belligerent "attitude" was cool and being a "badass" was more important than giving a damn about your fellow man.
