Not a pick up girls movie!
ciprianul22 September 2007
Look at you in the mirror... You'll see your body is not perfect too. Look at this documentary... You'll see that's impossible to have a perfect body. But this is not about your body. It's more about your mind. About you belonging to a state of mind, a state of being. It's an anthropological view of treating your body. You'll see answers to questions yet to come. Be honest when you start seeing this movie and you'll be surprised. Let me tell you about how I got to see it... It was back home, in Transylvania, in Cluj, at the Transylvania International Film Festival. I've entered the cinema hall knowing about "No body is perfect" no more than you do, excepting the summary plot they had in the festival flayer. I wasn't prepared to see that. And I had to see it lying on the floor (there were no more free seats). Next to me were a single girl and some couples. Questions came out softly from everybody's mouth, some eyes closed from time to time, whispers all over the place... but "no body" was leaving "the building". As about me, I was astonished. More... you have to see it. In two words it's a sexual fantasy documentary. But for sure it isn't a pick up girls movie.

A freak show with splash damage
enhazed5 June 2007
I expected to see a film about a strange set of people, about their lives and values. Sure, I thought there would be some porn and some snuffish material, but that comes with the territory (of weird people and sex). Instead, the movie was a complete freak show. There is no insight into character, no societal clash, no story, no idea beyond the "you must satisfy every fantasy, no matter how weird".

These weird, weird people are grossly objectified in what was (ironically) probably meant to be an objective film.

It just turned out to be a long line of sad, bad porn, near-snuff and cliché.

Oh, the splash damage... I meant that since the only thing you can get out of the film is the guilty satisfaction of having seen a gross freak show, you're bound to tell your friends, and they'll tell others. Thus, the splash damage.

I give this a 3, not a 1, because it's not completely braindead. Just very close.
