    It had a human quality

The film was informative and had a human quality. It touched my heart. The seriousness that evolved from the childlike quality that the group displayed in the beginning, from an amateur video to a well constructed, heart-rending display of human suffering.

I will keep this as one of my memories of one of the most devastating times on the MS Gulfcoast. It was my nightmare realised, that affected everyone on the coast. This film is should be a reminder of the raw power of hurricanes and it is important to have a true and accurate account of nature's wrath resulting in the worst natural disaster in United States history.

    • Trivia
The entire first half of the film's footage, the prediction of the hurricane coming to destroy the MS Gulf Coast, was entirely unplanned. In fact, it was the only footage that Pearce believed would never be seen. Pearce informed his friends, who by chance decided to stay with him for the hurricane, that he wanted to film a prediction of the storm. With no discussion or planning, Pearce set the camera on a tripod and began filming what would become the only memories of his home and the last look at the beauty of his hometown before the storm.
