When it comes to the crunch, Spencer doesn't blow his dad's alibi of being at home when the racist attack took place nearby. The next day, Anika is upset because her mum has decided to change her school. Mr. Robson tells Anika that their year have won the prize for the most boxes, but she passes on the privilege of accepting to Spencer - he is as pleased as punch. The Double Dare Gang have decided on "retirement", but Mr. Hankin has in mind a special final dare for them. At home, Spencer tries to keep the secret of his boxes prize from his father - when he demands to know what's going on, instead Spencer reveals that he saw his father hitting the man. He shouts at his father that he is not scared of him any more. Nathan can't get his hoped celebrity guest, and tries to persuade Colin instead. Mr. Hargreaves sees Calvin in the street but Calvin is not in any mood to speak, and as he runs off, Calvin's inhaler falls out of his bag. Calvin has an asthma attack as he reaches the pond, but...
