Little Pete's lucky penny has just ran out of luck especially when he needs it the most to counteract his attempts of getting prank on with cherry soda splurts from dad and ice box snowballs from his arch nemesis, Pit Stain. His string of bad luck included the following back hair, natural catastrophes and man made disasters. Nona suggests that they try to recharge it at Smedley Ravine on Monica's suggestion that he lays low. It proves impossible for Little Pete as Pit Stain pins him down. Big Pete explains the reason why he hates his younger brother is because he gave him, his nickname though his glandular disorder on his under arms. When Pete and his friends attempt to get back his penny to prevent the train from derailing, Pit Stain and his associates trail them.
