Today we have a new poster from the upcoming “Multiple Sarcasms” comedy drama.
“Multiple Sarcasms” synopsis: It’s New York, 1979. Gabriel Richmond is a talented architect with a seemingly rich life as he has a caring wife, loving daughter and life long friends. Yet, he spends most days in the movie theater, hiding out from work, escaping into a fictional world where he can more readily relate to the made up characters. When fiction shines a mirror on his own life, an inspired Gabriel begins writing a play not-so-loosely based on his reality, examining all of the relationships that make his life what it is.
At first a hobby, the play begins to consume Gabriel’s own self-examination. Slowly he realizes the fragility of his relationships and overall decisions in life, but does not know what to do with this information other than write about it. Gabriel’s work eventually

Ever since it was first announced, "The Runaways" has been making news. Now, fans have their first glimpse at the film — and a singing Kristen Stewart — thanks to this exclusive trailer you won't find anywhere else but MTV News.
"In 1975, rock was a man's world," the trailer's narrator explains as the preview begins. "Until ... "
For those of you who haven't been worshipping at the altar of mid-'70s rebellion rock, that "until" refers to the titular band that consisted of Joan Jett (Stewart), Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), Lita Ford (Scout Taylor-Compton) and Sandy West (Stella Maeve). Coming together in Los Angeles while they were still teenagers, the foursome broke musical boundaries with their rebellious attitudes, naughty-girl personas and catchy guitar hooks.

I guess it’s true that all movies about attractive criminals appeal to the audience’s desire to see what it’s like to live an unconventional life, even if that desire endures only for the length of the film. But no such movie that I’ve ever seen has ached more with yearning on the part of the attractive criminals for a different life than the one they have than The Brothers Bloom does. And that invests this deliciously clever, convention-busting flick with more soul than you’d expect, because it’s not just a puzzle about plot -- as most movies about con artists typically are -- and not just a puzzle about movies -- as few movies even dare to attempt: it’s a puzzle about personality and potential and perspective and people.
The brothers Bloom -- Stephen (Mark Ruffalo: Blindness, Reservation Road) is the elder,

Sofia Coppola is gearing up for her fourth feature directorial outing. The young filmmaker, whose credits include The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation, will direct Somewhere, a dramedy set at the iconic Chateau Marmont in Hollywood that she also wrote.
The story centers on a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, he is forced to reexamine his life. Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning have signed on to star.
The filmmaker, who said she has been looking to make "an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles," received permission to shoot at the hotel, which has become notorious in recent years as a popular address for tabloid-friendly celebs.
Coppola is producing with brother Roman Coppola (The Darjeeling Limited) and G. Mac Brown (Australia) through American Zoetrope. Father Francis Ford Coppola, Fred Roos and Paul Rassam are executive producing.

Missed previous episodes? The Hollywood Historian in me was busy last year. See: 1995 , 1996, 1997, 1998 , 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.
With the annual Vanity Fair "Hollywood" issue about to debut for 2009 -- I'm guessing we see the new cover in less than two weeks (Update: the new cover has been leaked and Vanity Fair has chucked their traditional photo shoot *sniffle* for the millionth magazine cover featuring President Obama), let's briefly return to our Vanity Fair retrospectives. "Send in the Gowns" was the title of 2004's photo shoot and they returned to the first year's game plan of glamour girls. The cover was more crowded though, bringing us an unlucky 13. But who was this cover unlucky for?
Maybe all of them, with the exception of Maggie Gyllenhaal (hurrah) and Hilary Swank (known affectionately around these parts as Beelzebub), who was just 11 months away from her second Oscar. Vanity Fair had gotten less daring in their cover
