Over the closing credits, Red describes what became of several Possum Lodge members in the years after the show. Mike Hamar: Became Possum Lake's police chief (with the result that the town's crime rate dropped to zero). Winston Rothschild III: Got a job investigating government corruption. Hap Shaughnessy: Claimed to have been made ambassador to Guam. Edgar K.B. Montrose: Tried to make a recliner out of plastic explosives and hadn't been heard from since. Ed Frid: Became head of the local animal rights group. Harold Green: He and his wife Bonnie, who he married in the final episode, had a son and daughter.
