Storyline

Stan is going steady with Sally, Blakey's niece and her uncle is far from happy with the arrangement. An old-fashioned family tea is arranged, laid on by the Butlers for Sally and Blakey. However,as the tea progresses it becomes evident that Sally and Stan have little in common. She is very critical of some of the things he says, which leads to a falling-out between the two families and the eventual calling-off of the engagement. Written by don @ minifie-1

None of my children are the wrong shape

I love this episode. Series 3 of On the Buses was just a classic series, probably the best as it had classic episodes such as The Snake, Radio Control, this and Foggy Night, only to name a few.

It all starts when Stan tells a shocked Blakey he is going to marry his niece, Sally. To try and get on, Stan invites Blakey and Sally for dinner at the Butler household. Stan is wearing awful clothes what Sally bought him. At dinner, with the usual embarrassing photographs and Sally correcting everything Stan says like when Stan says anything like bit, he leaves of the t. Mum finally gets fed up with her, when Sally says Stan is the wrong shape and starts an argument. Sally really is an unlikeable character.

It was interested to see Arthur taking sides with the Butler's. I loved the picture of Blakey and his twin sister, although that was Stephen Lewis dressed as a woman.

Funniest Moment: When Blakey shows the photograph of him and his twin sister
