Corny the Clown,pseudonym of Bob Keeshan (a.k.a. "Captain Kangaroo") when he became host of a noontime children's program called "Time for Fun" broadcast on the ABC network in New York City in the early 1950s. Sitting on a park bench with a cocker spaniel by his side, Corny the Clown gently talked to the kids between cartoons. Bob Keeshan had previously been Clarabell the clown on the NBC children's program "Howdy Doody" until he left the show in 1952. For 29 years was "Captain Kangaroo".
The fourth and final host of "Time For Fun" was Keith Hefner, as JJ Jellybean, who was in real life the brother of Playboy Magazine publisher Hugh Hefner.
